Astraea

Greek virgin goddess of justice, especially matriarchal justice, and of natural law. She was the daughter of Zeus and Themis. According to myth, the world once dwelled in a Golden Age when the gods lived on Earth among mortals. When humans became more and more wicked, the gods gradually abandoned the mortal world. Astraea was the last of the gods to leave. She went up into the heavens, where she became the constellation Virgo; her name means "star maiden." Though a minor deity, she remains a powerful symbol among women, especially lesbians, feminists, Wiccans, and pagans. The Astraea Foundation, which works in part for social action and justice, is named for her. Links:
